Cosmetic Reconstruction
First came love…
Then came marriage…
Then came college and a world of dental troubles.
Our young graduate school student put education before his teeth for quite some time. He knew that he needed to get his mouth in better shape if he was going to find a good job upon graduation.
He wanted the best that dentistry had to offer. Functional orthodontics was used in order to be able to provide the optimal bite rehabilitation and position of his teeth. His overbite was causing jaw dysfunction problems and he could not eat properly.
The main problem we had during the course of treatment was his desire to finish the treatment as quick as possible. He needed to find a job. We decided to remove the upper braces after 1 year and place the final veneers. We left the bottom braces on so that he could continue to receive the optimal repositioning of his teeth and bite. We were about 75% finished at this time and his bite had improved ten-fold.
We finished his veneers and guess what? He got a job! Unfortunately, he had to move out of the area and we have not been able to follow up on his lower braces, at this time. Hopefully, he will return for vacation and we will be able to finish his care.
